Pratap explains that he had resided in Afghanistan since August 1915, after being exiled from India. Uday Shan-kar and his Hindu Ballet
Program for Uday Shankar and his Hindu Ballet held at the War Memorial Opera House in San Francisco on February 18 and 20, 1939. The program contains a description of the entire performance. Music direction is credited to Vishnudass Shirali, and the other dancers credited in the performance are Simkie, Zohra, Uzra, Madhavan, Robindra, Brijo, Behari, Sisir Sovan, and Nagen Dey.
