Pamphlet distributed by the Berkeley South Asia Students Association titled “Political Prisoners in Sri Lanka”. The pamphlet details the background of political prisoners in Sri Lanka, and the Criminal Justice Commission Act, No. 14 of 1972.
"Homage To Martyrs" Flyer
Flyer detailing a public event at the University of California-Berkeley sponsored by the Women of South Asian Descent and Punjabi People’s Cultural Association groups. It describes the event as a vocal music performance by two artists as well as a talk by Professor Jagmohan Singh.

Handwritten flyer distributed by Berkeley IRO publicizing a film screening for an “underground documentary film.” The flyer also states that Dharam Paul of the New India Coalition at Berkeley will be speaking.
"Political Prisoners In Pakistan"
Pamphlet distributed by the Berkeley South Asia Students Association titled "Political Prisoners in Pakistan." The pamphlet traces the history of political happenings in Pakistan beginning with the British leaving the Indian subcontinent, and goes on to describe "maltreatment of civilians by the government [of Pakistan]."
"Statement of Solidarity with I.P.A.N.A"
This statement was issued by the India Forum during a public rally in Vancouver, the General Convention. The statement describes the organization’s solidarity with the Indian People’s Association of North America, and states that “since 1947 the plight of the overwhelming majority of the Indian people has worsened and the gap between the rich and the poor has continued to widen.”
"Statement of Support for the 'Walk for Human Rights'"
Statement issued September 13, 1976 by the India Forum in support of the “Walk for Human Rights” condemning the surveillance and intimidation of Indians abroad by Indira Gandhi’s administration.
"What is GOCSA all about?"
Informational flyer for the Group of Concerned South Asians (GOSCA), a discussion group for socially conscientious South Asians in Boston, Massachusetts. The group committed itself to “serious and in-depth study of the history and social-relations in the various countries in South Asia.”
Bangladesh Committee for Human Rights Flyer
Flyer distributed by the Bangladesh Committee for Human Rights urging the public to send telegrams, phone calls, and letters to the Embassy of Bangladesh to halt the retrial of Sirajal Alam Khan, leader of Jatiyo Samajtantrik Dal, the Bangladesh opposition party. The retrial was feared to result in his execution by Zia-ur-Rahman’s government.
Political Prisoners in India
Pamphlet distributed by the South Asian Students’ Association at the University of California at Berkeley titled “Political Prisoners in India.” The pamphlet includes text from an Amnesty International report on detention conditions in West Bengal circa 1974.
