DESCRIPTION
The April 1925 edition of the The United States of India (Vol. 2, No. 9) opens with "News and Notes" items on the death of Sun Yat Sen, "Hindu-Moslem Unity," and Anarchists of India. As with the previous issue, Mahendra Pratap, who had been visiting San Francisco, contributes heavily to the issue. Other articles include "The Akali Movement," which also touches on the Komagata Maru incident, in which the Canadian government would not allow Sikh emigrants to dock in British Columbia. The article goes into detail about that Gurdit Singh, who had chartered the ship.
