DESCRIPTION
Letter from Har Dayal to Van Wyck Brooks, posted on October 20, 1915 from Scheveningen, Holland. The return address includes the name Madame Kercher, and twice in the letter, Dayal tells Brooks that if he writes or wires back to not use the name "Har Dayal" but instead use "Israel Aaronson."

The contents of the letter are short. Dayal asks Brooks if he has any interest in going to India and working as a newspaper correspondent, or as a lecturer on religion and philosophy.

Would you like to go to India as a "correspondent" of some newspaper or as a lecturer on religion & philosophy? Our Indian Nationalist Party will make all necessary arrangements for you. Mrs. Brooks & the baby can stay in U.S. & all arrangements will be made for them. Please reply to the above address under name "Israel Aaronson" Yours sincerely Har Dayal If you can go, please wire "Yes" to above address. I shall send you money for the journey here. Then we can discuss plans. HD Please always write to & wire to name "Israel Aaronson" c/o Madame Kercher 116 Oude Schereningerweg Scheveningen (Holland)
