DESCRIPTION
Pamphlet from the 1920s promoting the lectures on India by Ceylon-born Chandra Gooneratne. Within the pamphlet, Gooneratne is described as an "East Indian lecturer and poet," whose purpose is to bring to Americans a "true idea of India as she is today." Includes a quote by Mark Twain, and a list of lecture titles, including the following: "The Soul of India," "India's Awakening," "Indian Poetry," and "Mahatma Gandhi."
