My dear Bhaiji,

I am in receipt of your kind letter of the 5th January and am glad to know that you will be in San Francisco on the 23rd January.

I have had further word with Mr. Gainsborough regarding you and may have some news by the time you reach here. In the meantime, he has very kindly made an appointment for you to meet Professor Speigelberg at the Stanford University at 3.00 p.m. on the 24th January. I would accordingly suggest that you kindly call on me at the Consulate some time in the morning on the 24th.

Thanks for the two articles forwarded with your letter which are, as desired, returned herewith.

More when we meet,
