Seattle Wash., Aug. 3, 1909.

My dear Mr. Ellis:-

I hope you will excuse my long silence. I am at Seattle now and expect to attend the University of Washington next fall. I took the summer school course here, and have creditably passed the course of studies. I did not write Gen. Dodge anything about my leaving of Norwich University until now and I am sending you the letter to forward it to him so that you can see what I have written him.

I am all right and I hope you are enjoying good health. I am ashamed to think that I have not as yet written to dear Fred Earle. Give him my best wishes and remember me to Mrs. Earle. I wish you would kindly forward forward the letter to Gen. Dodge at your earliest convenience and write to me as often as you can.

How about the Norwich history? I will pay my share whenever you will ask me for it.

With kindest regards, I remain,
Very truly yours,
Taraknath Das.
