Immigration File for Iman Din
DESCRIPTION
Immigration arrival investigation case file for Iman Din (Case File No. 12768/12-1). Din arrived in San Francisco aboard the S.S. Nile on July 1, 1913. On July 2, Din was interrogated by Inspector W.H. Chadney, whose file was reviewed by a board consisting of F.H. Ainsworth (chair), J.H. Scully, R.E. Peabody, with the assistance of Interpreter D.S. Dady Burjar. During the interrogation, Din admits to having spent months in Manila in order to secure a “pass” to the U.S. The board unanimously votes that the case be deferred. A photograph of Iman Din is included in the file.
