DESCRIPTION
Three newspaper clippings from the scrapbook of Dr. Amarjit Marwah.
The first, an article from India-West by Michel W. Potts entitled "L.A. Girl Scouts to Visit Pune" and dated March 20, 1987, describes a ceremony in which Dr. Marwah was honored for his support of Creendera Neighborhood Girl Scout Troop 549 by Lieutenant Governor Leo McCarthy. It goes on to say that the scouts planned to visit Pune, India thanks to Marwah's fundraising efforts.
The second, an article from India Abroad by Umesh Mehta entitled "Girl Scouts to India" and dated April 3, 1987, also discusses the Girl Scouts trip, quoting troop leader Myrtle Burton and noting that Dr. Marwah had raised $2,800 for the troop's travel.
The third, an article from Green Sheet entitled "Postpone decision on two historic homes" and dated March 21, 1987, reports on a two-week extension granted for the Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Commission to decide the historic monument status of two area homes. The article mentions Dr. Marwah as president of the commission.
