DESCRIPTION
Two newspaper clippings featured in the scrapbook of Dr. Amarjit Marwah.
The first, an article from the Los Angeles Times by Penelope McMillan entitled "Marwah's Residency Status Still Unsolved" and dated June 16, 1990, discusses the unresolved question of whether Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Commissioner Amarjit Marwah fulfilled residency requirements for his position, since his home was in Malibu rather than in Los Angeles city limits.
The second, an article from L.A. India entitled "Bhalla Opens Big Warehousing Facility for Imports and Exports" and dated July 6, 1990, describes a wholesaling company called India Imports & Exports opened by Krishen D. Bhalla (who had previously opened India Bazar in 1968). Dr. Marwah is pictured alongside members of the Bhalla family.
