DESCRIPTION
Humayra Bobby launched the organic skincare line Boubí Skin in June 2019 online.

Photo 1: Featured here is her second brick-and-mortar featuring her products. She says it was special to her because it was in Hamtramck, where she grew up. Humayra says the business is a mix of skincare, science and building confidence.

Photo 2: Here her products are featured at a pop-up at the Detroit Shipping Co. for a Detroit Public Schools' fundraiser. Boubí Skin was one of the eight vendors featured.

Photo 3: This picture was taken in June 2019 after the first launch at the Banglatown Farmer's Market every weekend in Detroit.

Photo 4: Here her products are featured at a pop-up at the Detroit Shipping Co. for a Detroit Public Schools' fundraiser. Her mother joined her at the vendor booth.

Photo 5: In this picture Boubí Skin was featured at it's first brick-and-mortar at Detroit is the new Black in Downtown Detroit.

Photo 6: Humayra Bobby's formulated her first product, the exfoliating toner for Boubí Skin. She handmade this product after testing it for six years. This picture features a small batch she made shortly after her launch online in June 2019.

Photo 7: This picture features a reflection of how Boubí's exfoliating toner sizes variations changed in one year. The first toner was a small plastic bottle which she shared samples with friends and family; the second was a plastic bottle given to community members to test trial, and the third bottle is the first launch of the toner sold in a plastic bottle to consumers. The fourth bottle is the current design and is packaged in a sustainable glass bottle.
