DESCRIPTION
Jahura Hobby worked as a freelance makeup artist since 2011. In 2017 she opened the JHobby Makeup Studio. Jahura says the studio serves as a central location where she can do makeup trails. She and her team travel on sight for bridal makeup services. Jahura is one of metro Detroit's Bangladeshi Women Entrepreneurs.

Photo 2: In 2019 she prepared for the Novi Bridal Expo, which attracts 5,000 people during a two day wedding expo. To prepare for the expo, she printed t-shirts for the team to wear.

Photo 3: JHobby was part of the first big bridal expo in Novi, where 180 exhibitors and 5,000 people gather annually for a two-day winter expo. Jahura says this was significant because she was able to participate as a small vendor, having the funds, reputation, and professionalism, as a registered business to be at the expo.

Photo 4: Jahura Hobby launched JHobby lashes. The commercials were created in house featuring four styles of lashes. it was the first product of the JHobby brand.

Photo 5: She created the sign prior to opening the studio in February 2017.

Photo 11: Here she's putting on makeup on a bride from Lansing, who was African American and Bangladeshi. The bride had both South Asian and American wedding ceremonies.
