Photo 1: This was taken sometime in 1991 after Aysha was born by her mom. They lived in a small Ivy Hill apartment in Newark, NJ, featuring her holding her in his arms, with her older brother standing next to him. This is the oldest picture she has with her father. She says, "My life story started there."

Photo 2: Pictured here is Aysha with her husband when they were dating at a restaurant in 2011. "We had started dating just two months before this picture but we knew at that moment that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. This is the oldest picture I have of us. We were so young and in love."

Photo 3: This is a picture of Aysha with her husband on our wedding day with her in-laws in 2014. "I was warmly welcomed into the family. I look at this picture and think of the obstacles I overcame to get married to my husband, and how accepting both our families are of each other’s cultures and traditions. We had such a blended wedding."

Photo 4: Aysha's husband took this picture in May 2018 on her law school graduation day. Her alma mater is a jesuit institution so every graduating class has a prayer reader. Aysha was chosen by her classmates to be the prayer reader for the graduating class. "A Muslim Bangladeshi woman reading prayer at a jesuit institution, it’s incredible and it’s an experience I’ll always cherish," she says.

Photo 5: Aysha took this picture in 2020 after her second daughter was born. It features her daughters meeting each other for the first time. Her three year old is holding her newborn sister. Aysha says motherhood changed her. "Motherhood changed me to become a better person and then becoming a mother of two reminded me to always live life aligning with my purpose and passion. I look at this image and think no matter what I do in this life, I just want them to be raised to be kind human beings with a good heart."
