DESCRIPTION
In this slideshow, you will see Teshtar Irani as a Mobediar (Zoroastrian priestess) praying during the Nowruz celebrations in 2022 at ZAGNY: Zoroastrian Association of Greater New York. In her oral history interview, Teshtar describes her experience of becoming a Mobediar, teaching religious classes to Zoroastrian kids, and performing muktad prayers at her home. The family also described their memories of the old and new local community center and Darbe Meher in Pomona, NY.
