Oral history interview with Mundaplackel George Thomas, conducted by Philadelphia Fellow Sherry Thomas.

MG Thomas is retired and lives in the Philadelphia area. In 1985, he moved to Philadelphia from India via Houston, Texas. He details his decision to immigrate in order to financially support his family in India as the oldest son. He discusses his time working in Cardone Industries, an auto parts manufacturer, well known for employing newly arrived Malayalis and other immigrants, to Philadelphia. MG then finished his career after 17 years at SEPTA, Philadelphia’s public transit authority, contributing to the fabric of Philadelphia’s history.
