Interview with Kamala Gururaja
DESCRIPTION
Kamala Gururaja is a high school senior from Brooklyn, NY. She has been a SAADA First Days Project Community Historian since 2021. She is an avid reader of Asian American history and literature and is passionate about preserving and sharing the stories of Asian America. She is also the editor-in-chief of her high school newspaper, a Girl Scout, and a flutist.
Kamala has collected over fifty stories for SAADA's First Days Project. In this interview she shares the experiences and insights she has gleaned over her years of collecting stories.
