DESCRIPTION
This report, published by South Asian American Leaders of Tomorrow (SAALT) in July 2007, discusses community-based organizations serving South Asians in the United States. SAALT is a national non-profit organization dedicated to fostering an environment in which all South Asians in the US can participate fully in civic and political life. The South Asian community in the US is diverse, with individuals from various countries, speaking different languages, and having different economic statuses and religious affiliations. The report provides information about SAALT and its work, as well as about the South Asian community in general.
