Recap: SAADA Community Forum in Philadelphia
APRIL 4, 2013
On April 4, we held a SAADA Community Forum in Philadelphia at the Asian Arts Initiative. SAADA Community Forums are an opportunity for community members and the general public to learn about archives and about South Asian American history through materials documented in SAADA. At this forum, we also asked participants to share their own stories.
Audience members were asked two questions:
• What stories from your parents' or grandparents' lives do you wish you knew more about?
• What stories from your generation would you like your grandchildren to know about?
Here are a some of the responses (click to enlarge):
Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in the forum! Check our Events page for upcoming SAADA events near you!
