Letter regarding Vaishno Das Bagai

DESCRIPTION
Report written in 1989 that provides information about Vaishno Das Bagai and his involvement with the Gadar Party in San Francisco, California. The report was written by Bagai's son Ram, and includes information from an interview with Govind Behari Lal on February 22, 1962. The document discusses Bagai's involvement with Gadar editor Ram Chandra, who allegedly assigned Bagai to serve as a safekeeper for Gadar Party funds and to begin intelligence activities with the British while surreptitiously providing information to the Gadar party. The report indicates that Ram Chandra later stated that "he did not assign Mr. Bagai for Intelligence work," leading to rumors that Bagai was a British spy. The report argues that Bagai served his duties to provide counter-intelligence for the Gadar Party, and supports that claim with evidence from Govind Behari Lal, Bhagwan Singh Gyanee, and G.R. Channon.
