DESCRIPTION
Immigration case file for Muston Singh (No. 12545/7-1). Muston Singh arrived on the S.S. Persia on February 24, 1913. He was detained in Angel Island, and interrogated by Inspectors W.N. Swasey, W.H. Clendenin, D.J. Griffiths, C.E. Ebey with the assistance of Interpreter C.B.S. Lall. During the interrogation, Muston Singh indicates his intention of going to San Jose, and that he had been in the U.S. in 1907 only to return in 1911 after hearing of the death of his parents. The board unanimously decided that Muston Singh be excluded and deported on the grounds of becoming a public charge.
