Letter from C. Sunthanker to Miss Bosworth



DESCRIPTION
Letter dated December 23, 1910 addressed to Annie Bosworth from Dr. Chumpa Sunthanker, one of the first women from India to earn her degree in medicine in the United States. Dr. Sunthanker writes, “My greatest desire is to help my own women in their suffering, they need their own sex to help them and comfort them in their grieve [sic]. It is a great [sic] different life here than what it was in the U.S. for me.”
