Interview with Mr. Godha Ram Channon by Prof. B. S. Upadhyaya



DESCRIPTION
An interview given on January 26, 1951 of Gadha Ram Channon by Professor B.S. Upadhyaya, University of Allahbad, India. The interview took place in San Francisco, and during it, Channon explained why he spent nearly 39 years living away from India in the U.S. Channon worked with L.H. Dayal in organizing the Gadar Party and achieving independence for India. Channon stayed in America to study modern agricultural methods in an effort to benefit Indian farmers and due to his status as a political refugee from Britain. Other topics discussed include: Trade possibilities of Indian cottage goods in America, the partition of India, and how Indian nationals are faring in America.
