My dear Shrid,

I was indeed a pleasure to hear from you.

I have been anxiously waiting for the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Hanna Sen and their daughter, but I have not heard anything from them yet. The Pan-American plane which left Calcutta on the 6th, arrived here on Thursday evening, April 8th. Maybe they missed the plane. I certainly will be glad to meet them and do anything I can for them when they arrive here.

Please let me know something about yourself. What are you doing and how is everything else going over there now? Finally our dearfold Syud went to Egypt, but poor Anup is out of a job. I do not know what happened. I have had no word from him. I don’t know whether he is in American or India. What are you going to do? If you can’t get anything for yourself, why don’t you put in a good word for me? You are on the spot where you could be of great help.

I had a letter from Mrs. Pandit, from which I understand tara and Rita will be going to Moscow soon. If you happen to see them please give them my love, and do write to me once in a while.

My son has been granted an American visa, and will soon be leaving India for this country. I was trying to arrange his passage through Cook & Sons. Please give him some general instructions about foreign travel.

With kindest regards,

Yours very sincerely,

Godha Ram Channon.
