Letter from Mumtaz Kitchlew to Abnashi Ram, dated January 25, 1975 and postmarked from Chicago. Kitchlew expresses grief at the recent passing of their mutual friends Malik Khizar Hayat Tiwana and Ajit Singh, and congratulates Ram on his successful eye surgery. Handwritten notes on the envelope indicate that this was Kitchlew's last letter to Ram, and that he likely dictated it to his nephew Tariq.
