DESCRIPTION
This letter dated September 14, 1944 from Krishnalal Shridharani to U.S. Senate Immigration Committee is part of the Senate Committee on Immigration’s records regarding S.1595. Shridharani mentions his work with the National Committee for India’s Freedom and thanks Senator Langor for proposing S. 1595. Shridharani calls on the chairman to amend S.1595 to allow for the naturalization of Indians living in the U.S. prior to 1924 as well as allowing an annual quota to be granted citizenship.
