Canada and India (March 1916)

DESCRIPTION
The March 1916 edition of Canada and India: A Journal of Information and Conciliation (Vol. 2, No. 2) opens with several different poetic epigraphs by Edwin Arnold, Robert Bridges, and Bills Carman. The issue is broken into four sections, reporting on the activities of India, Canada, Britain, and Australia. In the India section, articles focus on the activities of the Indian National Congress, the All-India Muslim League, the 29th Indian National Social Conference, and the Mohammedan Educational Conference. In the Canada section, the articles report primarily on Sikhs in Canada (with excerpted articles from the World by Albert Ernest Stanford, and from the Christian Guardian by Sunder Singh). The issue also reports under the title "Vedanta Society" that Sunder Singh lectures every Sunday afternoon in the Foresters' Hall on Eastern religions. A short article "Indian Indentured Labor in Fiji" is included in the section on Australia.
