Oral History Interview with S.G. Appan and Rajam Appan



DESCRIPTION
Dr. S. G. Appan and Rajam Appan, came to the United States in 1967 when Dr. Appan began his studies at the University of Colorado. After receiving his PhD in ecology, the Appans relocated to Picayune, Mississippi, and eventually Houston, in 1971. The Appans discuss how they cultivated herbs and vegetables and the NC2 hydration system they developed to preserve the nutrients in herbs. The Appans discuss their farm and how they have grown and expanded over the years, including their presence in major grocery stores.
