In this slideshow, you will see:
Kayhan Irani and her brother, Jehangir Irani, at their Navjote ceremony on July 4, 1985 at the Zoroastrian Association of Greater New York Darbe Meher, New Rochelle, NY. In her oral history interview, Kayhan described her memories of her navjote, remembering family members that visited from India and sharing some rituals that commonly occur in the Zoroastrian initiation ceremony.

Kayhan and her brother in the park across their apartment in PS 220 playground, Queens, New York in 1982 or 1983. In her oral history interview, Kayhan and her parents describe memories Queens in the 1990s.
