In this slideshow, you will see:
Roshni Rustomji-Kerns, her husband, Chuck Kerns, and her cousin, Anahita Sidhwa, on their wedding day, August 17, 1978. In her oral history interview, Roshni selected this object as one of the things she'd keep in a time capsule. She shared with us her memories of her wedding. She also described her memories as a South Asian woman marrying outside the Zoroastrian community.
Roshni and her husband's 25 anniversary celebration in Oaxaca with her Mama Glafira in August 2003. She shared with us her memories of this celebration and how special her new family made her feel and at home in Mexico. She also described her memories of finding acceptance in her community in Oaxaca.
