Oral history interview with Binu Mathew, conducted by Philadelphia Fellow Sherry Thomas.
Binu Mathew lives in Chalfont, Pennsylvania with her family. She moved to the Philadelphia area in the early 2000s after getting married to her husband, who was already in the United States. She details her upbringing in India and the challenges she has faced as a minority and as a female software engineer working in a male-dominated field, as well as her definitions of success as she raises her daughters between two cultures.
