Oral history interview with Sudarshan Pyakurel, conducted by Archival Creators Fellow Rojika Sharma.

Sudarshan Pyakurel is a devoted community organizer within the greater Bhutanese diaspora. Along with serving as a director of the Bhutanese Community of Central Ohio (BCCO), he works to bring awareness of mental health struggles within the community. Pyakurel’s story captures the hardships he faced in Bhutan, in Nepal, and as a new American. He strives to imagine a sustainable future for the Bhutanese refugee diaspora.
