Community of Contrasts: South Asians in New Jersey

DESCRIPTION
This is a publication that provides an overview of the South Asian community in New Jersey. It highlights the growth and diversity of the community, as well as the challenges and needs facing South Asians in the state.

The publication includes demographic information, documentation of emerging needs and concerns, and an analysis of the linguistic and cultural barriers facing some South Asians, as well as the history of bias and discrimination that confronts the New Jersey South Asian community.

The information, data, and analysis presented in this publication were gathered through a variety of methods including consultations with community organizations, research via academic and news articles, interviews with community experts, and a community needs assessment conducted by SAALT.
