DESCRIPTION
This brochure, developed by the Council on American-Islamic Relations, provides "know your rights" information for various scenarios that American Muslims commonly face. It includes information on an individual's rights as an airline passenger, when on a "no-fly" list, when contacted by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), when stopped by police and other law enforcement, as a student, when faced with job discrimination and at the workplace, and how to report hate crimes. It also includes information on how to get involved locally, weigh in with Congress and the media, and information on local CAIR chapters.
