This is a publication by South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT) from September 2011. It reflects on the ten-year anniversary of September 11th and its impact on South Asian Americans. The report discusses the backlash, hate crimes, and discrimination faced by South Asians, especially those of Sikh and Muslim faiths, in the aftermath of the attacks. It also highlights positive examples of individual and community resilience, interfaith and cross-cultural collaborations, and civic and political engagement that have emerged over the past ten years. The report presents a record of major themes that have emerged in the post-September 11th world over the past decade, as they pertain to South Asians in America.
