Immigration Reform Priorities to Improve the Lives of South Asian Americans

This document outlines the priorities for immigration reform supported by SAALT and the members of the National Coalition of South Asian Organizations (NCSO). These priorities include creating an accessible and affordable pathway to citizenship, keeping families together and creating accessible options in the family and employment-based systems, rejecting enforcement-only approaches and prohibiting profiling, ensuring due process and human rights, and creating policies that support the empowerment of women. The document also provides specific recommendations for improvements to the family-based and employment-based immigration systems.
