On July 3, Deen was interrogated by a board including Inspectors F.H. Ainsworth, W.H. Tomkins, R.E. Peabody, and Interpreter Nasir Khan. Deen indicates that he was born in Afghanistan, and planned to go to Oakland.

Immigration File for Harnam Singh

This is one of a number of case files relating to 31 Indian men who were detained and investigated for unlawful entry to the U.S. between 1906 and 1913. Singh's file includes telegrams between immigration officials, an interrogation transcript, medical records, and an "alien certificate" including a photograph.
